Gosho Aoyama, author of “Detective Conan” and Eiichiro Oda, author of “ONE PIECE” will have a talk with each other

The "Weekly Shonen Jump" No. 34 (on sale July 25) and "Weekly Shōnen Sunday" No. 35 (on sale July 27) will feature a "connected collaboration cover" in which the covers of the two magazines are lined up to form a single picture.

This is a miraculous collaboration between Gosho Aoyama, author of "Detective Conan" and Eiichiro Oda, author of "ONE PIECE," two of the most famous manga authors in the world.
This dream conversation was made possible by the fact that the 100th volume of "ONE PIECE" was released on September 3, 2021, and the 100th volume of "Detective Conan" on October 18, 2021, both of which will reach the 100th comics volume mark in the fall of 2021.

To commemorate this dialogue, popular characters from each work appear on the covers of both magazines. The "Linking Collaboration Covers" will be created by placing the two magazines side by side to create a single picture.
The cover of Weekly Shonen Jump No. 34, to be released on July 25, 2022, will feature Monkey D. Luffy and Toru Amuro, and the cover of Weekly Shonen Sunday No. 35, to be released on July 27, will feature Conan Edogawa and Loronoa Zoro. All illustrations are newly drawn.

In addition, the 35th issue of "Weekly Shōnen Sunday" comes with a collaboration postcard featuring a single illustration of the four characters connected together.
The chief editors of both magazines also commented on the dialogue.

The cover of this dream collaboration is a dream come true, featuring a conversation between two of the biggest names in manga and a nationally popular work that has sold more than 100 comics volumes.

It's impossible that it can't happen. Monday and Wednesday's weekly shōnen magazines, which are not supposed to intersect, have become a single, united cover! And you can also read the first-ever conversation between the teachers touching on the truth of the two major serials, which are now over 100 volumes and reaching an even higher climax here! We hope that JUMP No. 34 and SUNDAY No. 35 will become great treasures in the lives of our readers. I want everyone in Japan to read these two books!
