Cast & Staff Comment
Toru Furuya / Playing the role of Amuro Rei
I never imagined that the island of the Ku Klux Doan would become a movie.
After 43 years, to be able to play the role of the 15-year-old Amuro, who fights in Gundam again, in the movie version is a great honor for a voice actor.
I spent a lot of time rehearsing at home for the recording.
When I finished watching the video of the last scene, I unexpectedly burst into tears.
With the very realistic behavior of the mobile suits and the expressive characters, this is a truly fascinating work by director Yasuhiko.
Yoshikazu Yasuhiko / Director
Mobile Suit Gundam" is a story of nameless "little people" who help each other fight against huge enemies and live in the midst of ruthless fate. In the past, there was one episode in the TV series that best expressed these shades. However, for various reasons, that story was removed from the overall flow of the series. Now, the staff, who love the original spirit of Gundam, is shining a light on it and retelling it. Please take a look. The Island of Cucullus Doan
