Jiro Sato Reprises Pumbaa in “Operation Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers” Trailer Full of Surprises

The trailer for "Chip and Dale's Big Adventure: Rescue Rangers," a Disney Plus original film about the popular Disney animation characters Chip and Dale, has been released. Pumbaa from the full CG super live-action version of "The Lion King" will appear in this film, and Jiro Sato will once again dub for him.

The film is set in modern-day Los Angeles. Chip and Dale, best friends since childhood, dream of a successful career in show business. The series took the world by storm and catapulted them up the star ladder, but when Dale announced that he was starting his own show, the series was cancelled and their lives were changed forever.

Chip has since worked as an insurance salesman in the suburbs, and Dale has undergone CG surgery, and now works at the Nostalgia Convention Circuit, where nostalgic stars gather and reminisce about the glory days of yesteryear. The two are revived as the "Rescue Rangers" to save Monty, a former member of the Rescue Rangers, who is addicted to cheese and in debt, and is eventually kidnapped. The two are resurrected as the "Rescue Rangers" to save him. Meanwhile, other animated characters are also being kidnapped one after another in mysterious incidents, and the shadow of gang boss Sweet Pete is lurking behind the kidnappings.

In addition to the slapstick adventures of Chip and Dale, the trailer includes a lightsaber-wielding mouse from "Star Wars," Lumiere from "Beauty and the Beast," Sneeze from "Snow White," Flander from "The Little Mermaid," Peter Pan who has become a fat middle-aged man, and Sato's character Pumbaa, and other classic Disney characters that everyone knows will make surprise appearances one after another.

Sato, who will reprise his role as Pumbaa, said, "I have worked with Disney on two films, 'Inside Head' and 'The Lion King. I went to see those films with my son, and frankly speaking, my first thought was that I was happy to be able to participate in a film that I could see with my elementary school-aged son.

It had been about two and a half years since the last recording of "The Lion King," so I watched "The Lion King" again before I recorded the voice, and I remembered it instantly. I thought it would be better to show a slightly different side to Pumbaa, who is normally optimistic and carefree, so I played him.

Chip and Dale's Operation Rescue Rangers" will be available exclusively on Disney Plus from 4:00 p.m. on May 20.
