SPY×FAMILY” Conceptual Visual Unveiled Expresses the Duality of a “Family Full of Secrets

SPY x FAMILY," a TV anime adaptation of Tatsuya Endo's manga, is set to air from April 9, and a concept visual depicting the dual nature of the three main characters has been unveiled.

The original manga, serialized in Shueisha's web manga magazine "Shonen Jump +," depicts a top-secret spy named Twilight, who goes by the alias of Lloyd Forger, and lives as a normal family with his wife, the assassin Yol, and daughter, the psychic Anya, without revealing their identities or abilities. The film depicts a series of events. The three main characters are Takuya Eguchi (Lloyd), Atsumi Tanesaki (Anya), and Saori Hayami (Yol).

The concept visual, drawn by character designer Kazuaki Shimada, depicts Lloyd, Anya, and Yol, each with their own front and back faces. The upper part of the visual shows the three smiling as they walk through the city in the daytime. The lower part of the visual shows Lloyd and Yol as spies and assassins, and Anya with a surprised expression on her face.

In addition to the previously announced director Kazuhiro Furuhashi and animation producers WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks, additional staff members announced include chief animation director Kyoji Asano, assistant directors Takashi Katagiri, Kenjin Takahashi, and Takahiro Harada, art directors Kazuo Nagai and Hisayo Usui, 3DCG director Kana Imagaki, cinematography director Akane Fushihara, and sound director Shoji Hatata.

SPY x FAMILY" will begin airing on April 9 at 11 p.m. on TV Tokyo and other stations.
