The screenplay was written by Masakazu Hashimoto, who also wrote the screenplays for the same two films and "Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Mystery! The recently announced cast includes Takagaki, who also appeared in director Hashimoto's TV anime "TARI TARI," as Chinzo, a boy who claims to be "Hiroshi and Misae's real child. Hanae, also a cast member of "TARI TARI" and well-known for her role as Sumijiro Kamakado in "Blade of Demons," will play the role of Chiyome's husband, Hezogakure Gomae-mon (屁祖隠胡麻衛門).
