Fruits Basket prelude” Blu-ray to go on sale on June 24th, part of the enclosed bonus “manga drawn by Natsuki Takaya” to be revealed

The Blu-ray of "Fruits Basket prelude" (currently in theaters), a compilation of the TV anime "Fruits Basket" with new footage, will be released to the general public on June 24. The jacket of the Blu-ray and a part of the enclosed bonus "original manga (8-page booklet) newly drawn by Natsuki Takaya" have recently been revealed.

The original manga "Fruits Basket," which was serialized in "Hana to Yume" (Hakusensha) from 1998 to 2006, depicts a girl, Toru, who has been left alone in the world, confronting the "Twelve Zodiac Monokai Possessions" that turn into animals when hugged by the opposite sex, and the spiraling fate of the Kusama family. The second anime adaptation of the series aired from April to September 2007 (the "1st season"), from April to September 2008 (the "2nd season"), and from April to June 2009 (the "The Final").

The current "Fruits Basket prelude" is the first time that the episode about Toru's parents, "the story of Kyoko and Katsuya," has been made into a film, and also includes "the story after Toru and Rin," newly drawn by Mr. Takaya. The "theater limited edition Blu-ray" that went on sale at the same time as the film's theatrical release was sold out one after another, with many people complaining that they could not get their hands on a copy.

The "Fruits Basket prelude" Blu-ray, which will be released to the general public on June 24, will include an "original manga newly drawn by Natsuki Takaya" and a special booklet as a bonus. The jacket illustration, drawn by character designer Yu Shindo, depicts Kyoko and Katsuya cuddling in the dusk. The sample image of "Original Manga newly drawn by Natsuki Takaya" shows Kyoko with a smile on her face. The price is 9,900 yen (including tax).
