A stage greeting event for "Osomatsu-san: Hippipo and the Shining Fruit" was held at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo on July 16, 2022. All six cast members, including Takahiro Sakurai, Yuichi Nakamura, Hiroshi Kamiya, Jun Fukuyama, Daisuke Ono, and Miyu Irino, took the stage at the event. During the event, it was announced that screenings with staff talk events will be held on July 23 and 30. Osomatsu-san: Hippopotamus and the Shining Fruit", the first new anime commemorating the 6th anniversary of "Osomatsu-san", has been released in theaters nationwide from July 8. Live viewing was also conducted for this stage greeting, and the cast members greeted the audience watching the live viewing as well as the audience at the venue. While the cast members were greeting the audience, Ono used a line from the character he plays, Jyushimatsu, and called out cheerfully to the audience, "Please take care of me, muscle muscle! He also used a line from his character of Jyushimatsu to cheerfully call out to the audience. Daisuke Ono When the MC asked them how they felt about the "Osomatsu" series, which marked its sixth year this year, the six expressed their joy with a happy look on their faces. Then, just like the six children of the Matsuno family, they immediately began to talk in top gear, at a good tempo, and in tune with each other. While talking about the sixth year, Irino mentioned that "6 is a very important number for Osomatsu," and Sakurai was asked what he thought about the number 6, to which he replied, "6 is bad luck ....... In response, Fukuyama wittily retorted, "It's not a roku (6) at all," to which the rest of the cast and the audience seemed impressed. Jun Fukuyama Next, the audience was asked about their impressions of the new film. Nakamura asked if anyone had cried, to which the audience member who raised his hand immediately responded, "You're a liar! He then asked the audience if anyone had cried, to which Nakamura immediately responded, "Liar! The cast responded to Nakamura's comment with a lively exchange of barbs, which brought smiles to the faces of the audience. The cast talked about how they were "puzzled" when they read the script for the first time, and even those who had been involved in "Osomatsu" for six years had no idea what the script said. When they checked the video, "I thought, 'Is this something to do all the way in the theater? lol," said one of the cast members. Hiroshi Kamiya Lastly, the audience was asked about the highlights of the film under the title of "Best Matsusan Scenes. The lively conversation about their favorite scenes began to lose sight of where the conversation was headed, and Sakurai was asked by the MC to close the discussion. Sakurai chose the "last scene," which takes a shocking turn, and everyone nodded their heads in agreement. Yuichi Nakamura After that, "NEW ERA collaboration cap" and "Original Baby Star Ramen" produced by Irino's "OSOMATSUSAN Goods Development Office" were introduced. Finally, as new information, it was announced that the stage greeting would be streamed on a missed event and that staff talk events would be held in Saitama and Kanagawa on the 23rd and 30th. Miyu Irino In the final greeting, Ono again quoted Jyushimatsu's line, "Thank you for the extra-large good-bye home run! to which the audience responded, "Thank you very much! Kamiya said, "Is this how it's supposed to be...? I think it's OK because it's Osomatsu, but I'm sure I'll regret it later (laughs). Finally, Sakurai said that he was "happy" that the six years had passed so quickly and that he was able to promise a new feature-length work and the next development, and called on the audience to "continue to enjoy this world with us, as I believe that Osomatsu will continue to create uninterrupted works.
