A special trailer and teaser poster visual for "Shin Masked Rider," a film directed and written by Hideaki Anno, have been unveiled for the first time. The new cast has also been announced, with Shinya Tsukamoto, Toru Tezuka, and Suzuki Matsuo joining the cast.
On April 3, 2021, the 50th anniversary of the broadcast of "Masked Rider," the production of "Shin Masked Rider" and its release in March 2023 were announced. The main character, Takeshi Hongo/Masked Rider, is played by Sousuke Ikematsu, the heroine Ruriko Midorikawa by Minami Hamabe, and Hayato Ichimonji/Masked Rider #2 by Tasuku Emoto, in this "new original work" based on the 1971 "Masked Rider" series.
A special report will be released in theaters from today. It shows a part of the story with music by Taku Iwasaki ("R.O.D. -READ OR DIE-" and "Jormungandr"). The music used in the film is an original composition created especially for the special report. The teaser poster visual depicts the Cyclone and Masked Rider in action. A flyer has also been produced and will be posted and placed in theaters nationwide (excluding some theaters) starting today.
The official SHOCKER app "SHOCKER" from Shin Masked Rider," the official app for the movie, was released today. The "Sustainable Happiness Organization with Computational Knowledge Embedded Remodeling" (a.k.a. SHOCKER), which appears in the film, has been created as if it has stepped out of the world of the movie. SHOCKER's goal for this application is the happiness of mankind. Once downloaded, users can enjoy the latest information on the secret society SHOCKER and exclusive contents by its members as a collaborator of SHOCKER. The app is free and can be downloaded from the app store of each device (download URL: https://c-rayon.com/result/shocker).
