The cast, poster visual, and trailer for "Zannenai Inki Mono Jiten the Movie," an animated feature film adaptation of the children's book series that has sold more than 4.55 million copies, have been announced. Actor Muro Tsuyoshi and actress Ito Sari will play the roles of the navigator of the film, a father and son mole, and Hanae Natsuki, Uchida Marei, and Shimono Hiro will also appear in the film.

The "Dictionary of Zanenai Kimono" is a children's book series that introduces "unexpected aspects" of living creatures. This film version of the series features three original stories set in Antarctica, Australia, and Japan (Azumino, Nagano Prefecture), three places where many "Zanenai-kimono" live.

The main cast features Muro as Mogmog, the father of a family of moles, and Ito as Gurara, the firm daughter. Muro said, "Please come and see the movie with everyone. I'll be waiting for you as the father of the mole parent and child. His daughter, Sari Ito, is also cute. Ito, on the other hand, said, "To tell you the truth, it was the first time I read 'Zannenai Kimono Jiten (Dictionary of Zannen Wildlife)' when I got this offer. I learned many aspects of the creatures that I did not know, and I loved their 'zan-nenai kikimono jiten'.

Hanae will play the role of Leroy the koala in the Australian version, Uchida will play Usao in the Japanese version, and Shimono will play Usazaki Senpai. In this trailer, the mole father and son introduce the animals in the three stories. The poster visual also depicts the unique animals with the catchphrase, "Zazak, zanne~n.

Zan-nenai Ikimono Jiten" will be released in theaters nationwide on July 8.

The full comments from Muro and Ito are as follows.

Muro Tsuyoshi (as Mogumogu)
Zan-nen" is not just a tameness. It's all stories that tell us that "Zanmai" is not a zanmai.
The weak part is the strong part. The parts that are made fun of are the parts that are good to be confident about.
This way of thinking is fine. It makes you think, "Let's live our lives laughing at zan-nen.
Please come and see "Zannen Inai Mono Jiten (Dictionary of All Things Zannen)" with everyone.
I'll be waiting for you as the father of a family of moles. My daughter, Sari Ito, is cute, too.
Enjoy the movie!

Sari Ito (Gurara)
To tell the truth, it was the first time I read "Zanenai Mono Jiten (Dictionary of Zanen Wildlife)" when I was given this opportunity to read it. I learned many aspects of living creatures that I did not know, and I loved their "zan-nenai kikimono jiten". And more than anything, I was warmed by the fact that all of them are things that can be applied to other people as well, things that we can say to ourselves, "It's okay, just as it is," and so on. The aspects that may at first glance seem "regrettable" to me or to others may in fact be a special individuality. It may be an element to be loved. This work had such possibilities. The creatures in the film are also those with many such charms. I hope you will enjoy watching the film.
